Economics
One of my main passions is studying and learning about Economics. It started out as an interest in learning personal finance and spread quickly to macro economics.
Connection back to UX and Game Design
While this might seem like a seperate interest, economics and UX design have a lot in common. What fascinates me about economics are the same interests that draw me to UX design: studying the sometimes illogical ways humans interact in a complex system. Daniel Kahneman's findings are key principles in UX design but he won the nobel prize for economics. In fact there is a whole field of economics: called behavioral economics that shares much of the same knowledge and takeaways UX designers do. And many game systems are built on the principles of economics, resource extraction and our desire to save, collect, prevent loss and manage risk. So with that I've attached some short articles about my findings and thoughts in economics.
